Happy Birthday Jesus !

The last time I checked the calender said 2009.

Religion; I respect it and all, but seriously? Acting on your beliefs? Who does that ? that's just ludacris right ?
I happen to think so anyway and that why I like the Jedi church. It's based on a movie for kids (Star Wars) and it takes the piss out of religion.

44% of Americans like SM

The actual poll said 44% of Americans want Bush back, but it basically tells you the same thing right..?

Ahh !! That hurts..

We need death matches now

I keep getting bugged by the news, talk radio and also the discovery channel about organized violence spreading to football stadiums and also at other venues where people meet. For some reason people are bored and just want to fight with each other in big groups.

You can wait for these people to find themselves a fucking soul but that will take forever, so here is what I came up with, perhaps not a very popular idea, but I think this is worth expressing.

DEATH MATCHES !
Just hear me out..

First, If people want to bang their skulls together, FINE !! Let them get on with it, don't try to fight it! For thousands of years people have done so, it's not likely that this will change through force. Trying to control organized violence will only cause more problems, like hooliganism in football stadiums and we all want to see dads be able to bring their sons to football matches.

Build Death match arena's. Lets say huge cages. 100mx100m? Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
No weapons and let them pay for a ticket to cover the expenses of the arena + let them sign a contract making them responsible for their own injuries or deaths.

Funerals are not even necessary, because people will not care. Friends? Haha, these people are very likely to have no friends. And the people that are their friends probably participate in the same type of recreation, therefore will die themselves sooner or later. So we can skip the ceremonials.

Plus it saves a lot of cemetery space. I think if possible organs can be harvested. The rest of the human flesh can be put in giant meat grinders and can be fed to the animals.

Sick ? You know what I think is sick ? We stuff our animals with food so we can eat more meat but we don't feed our hungry people.
That's sick.

So I suggest a knockout tournament system, much like the world cup football, it gives a whole new meaning to the term "sudden death".

Are they are fucking with us in Kopenhagen? Climate summit Day 2

Kopenhagen UN Climate summit: Day 2
Hey! Here is a question for ya, I hope you can help me out cause this is really starting to bug me.

Who are all those people driving around with their Hummers on mars, jupiter, neptune, saturn, mercury, venus (fuck, what's the other planet I'm leaving out ?) ?

Because NASA and The Russian space observatory agree (note: an issue where the Russians and Americans actually agree with eachother..!) that our ENTIRE solar system is suffering from climate change and that the change seen on earth is very similar.

So you have to ask; how did co2 get on the other planets ?

Goddamnit !

The Answer is that co2 is not the sole cause of the rising temperatures, but that's hardly interesting. Think of the possible opportunities if you could blame the whole of mankind !

Al Gore only looked at the earth. Neglecting the universe and forgot to mention the sun (Al got an oscar for his "documentary"..), blaming us humans 100%.
Conservatively they (NASA& Russians..) think between 1 and 2% of this change is due to human activity. To be even more conservative, lets just ad a zero at the end of those figures, and you are still not near the level of guilt that Al Gore wants you to feel.

I've got so much climate stuff that I think I am going to counter the media and come up with a different angle on the climate every day of the convention.

Always carry your mobile phone and never switch it off

I heard this story on the radio today, so naturally I had to google it. Here you go:

The mobile phone as self-inflicted surveillance
And if you don't have one, what have you got to hide?

NOT using your cellphone is suspect behaviour, I hope you realize that.
If you have a cellphone but don't have it on you, you are likely to be up to something.. ! Woah, that's some profound shit they just came up with

What is the world coming to ? Not long before you are required to have a cell so you can be tracked ?¿? Not really, but this is stupid beyond words.

Beware my little droogies, I might be up to something, as it happens a lot that I turn my cell off or that I leave it at home, just what kind of revolution am I hoping to unleash before tomorrow morning?

(as I now have more reason to believe that I probably am watched; I WAS JOKING!)

I felt like a little criminal today

I didn't commit any crimes. But I had my fingerprints taken and stored in a Biometric database. I was renewing my ID card.

On the plus side; I feel a lot safer! I'm looking forward to my first decent nap in years !

Sarcasm set aside, as of now Dutch, but also European law, prohibits it's use as a investigative tool to find suspects. It can only be used for Identification for already imprisoned suspects. But that's the current situation.

There are several law suits on the way and on the other side some politicians wish to expand on these powers. It's certain that things are going to change, but will they change for the better or for the worse ?

Fuck confucius

it's time to evolve ideas

Just when I thought I was sick of the swineflu I got.. the swineflu!

The virus was not half as badass as my TV wanted me to believe. It's a pisstake. Sure, people have died from it, but don't thousands of people die every year from the regular flu ? Just stick a DVD in, stay in bed and let people bring you cups of tea!

Yes, I have had better weeks but this is a great excuse to stay home this week while everyone else is outside in the shitty weather feeling miserable! I have only one medicine in this hour of darkness.

ANTIFLU

Nothing to worry about, this flu is just like a bad girlfriend; out of your system after a couple of days in bed.

I'm going to stick another DVD in, cheerio !

A curious thing happened the other night. We were approached by some cops who apparently missed the day at the police academy when they were taught about the CONSTITUTION which they are supposed to uphold and defend..

I nearly lost my mind. I was mystified by their stupidity quote "our boss wants..". Fuck you copper, I'm your boss ! I was wise enough not to make a scene. Or should I say apathetic enough not to make a scene ?

EMBED-Goofy Yet Talented One Man Band - Watch more free videos

One man band's all over the world; You will not get my money, You will not get my respect. Do us all a favor and learn to type and get yourself a fucking job.

TV, the root of all evil !

This video is a nice illustration of the point that I am trying to get across. TV mobilizes us, and pushes people up against each other.

Fox News Associate Producer Heidi Noonan Caught Rallying 9/12 Protest Crowd During FOX'sGriff Jenkins Live Shot - 09/19/09 - Via http://mediamatters.org/ & http://www.huffingtonpost.com/

That the people there actually let themselves be used in such a way should tell you a lot about those people. Which is another great illustration for my next point. Everywhere I go I see outrage and anger towards governments and bankers. Now it's all very cute to see people excited and passionate about matters, it just so happens that these people hardly ever know what they are talking about. They are mad because they are told to be mad. As if people are so confused by life that they are actively looking for people to tell them what to do and what to believe. The characters on tv that we have grown to trust throughout all these years are becoming our new dad's. Are you looking for a new dad ?

Here is a thought; read a book ! Try not to behave like a moron in public and shut up if you have no idea what you are talking about. Otherwise you are just being used like the douche that you are.

Yesterday evening I saw a Japanese show called "Panic Face King". In this show people experience real terror for themselves. The Japanese truly are insane !

Dollar down the toilet

The headlines last week

Russia ready to abandon dollar in oil, gas trade with China
“Yesterday, energy companies, in particular Gazprom, raised the question of using the national currency. We are ready to examine the possibility of selling energy resources for rubles, but our Chinese partners need rubles for that. We are also ready to sell for yuans,” Putin said.

Iran to completely drop dollar from foreign exchange
Iran has recently asked Japan to replace the US dollar with the yen in oil deals it has with the Islamic Republic, Mehr News quoted the organization as saying on Friday.
Since October 2007, Iran has received 85 percent of its oil revenues in currencies other than the US dollar and Tehran is determined to find a substitute for the US dollar for the rest of its 15 percent of oil revenues,

I believe the Dollar has no future.

Whatever happened ?

Obama just finished with his long talk before the U.N. General Assembly. It reminded me of this speech at the U.N. in 1992 (read the explanation below).

Severn Cullis-Suzuki was 9 when she started the Environmental Children's Organization (ECO), a small group of children committed to learning and teaching other kids about environmental issues. They were successful in many projects before 1992, when they raised enough money to go to the UN's Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. Their aim was to remind the decision-makers of who their actions or inactions would ultimately affect. The goal was reached when 12 yr old Severn closed a Plenary Session with a powerful speech that received a standing ovation.

The Peoples Temple

My new course year is jam packed with some great classes. One of them; contemporary history !
I'm absolutely loving it. So in light of the research that I have eagerly started for my big report, here is one of the most amazing discoveries I have done lately.

It's the tale of Jim Jones who in the 60ies managed to catch the spur of the moment and the excitement about socialism and equality to start his own society. A society where all races are equal. Jim Jones wanted to change the world and the people adored him for it.

Jonestown was created in the southamerican woods and his followers went there to live with him. And who wouldn't want to live in a place of peace, no wealth and no poverty and unconditional love ? It was such a promising society at first. Just a few years later all the members died and just 5 managed to escape. What happened ?

There is a lot of footage of this society which makes it for an excellent documentary. How did the society emerge, how did it become so successful, why did it have to end this way ?

Government bankruptcy

Lately our television sets have been telling us that the economic situation is about to improve. But there have been voices countering that, now the world famous Dr. Marc Faber says it, so the message carries that extra -OEMPHF- your looking for to make a news story work for ya.

The Message

What it boils down to is this
The situation was shit a long time ago. Thanks to the creation of money supply. It's not that odd, the creation of money has a dark side after all. Since the crisis has started the measures that were taken have only tried to effect the short term positively, but in reality it has only effected our longterm future negatively. They tried to solve the crisis with the causes of the crisis.. Ofcourse that couldn't work. So the measures taken around the world have been disastrous. And we will experience its effects in the following years.

For several reasons I subscribe to his views on economics. I like his analysis, though he has a reputation and people like to call him Dr. Doom because of his pessimistic views. If you want my advice, take care of yourself and your family and get out of speculative stuff and try to own some assets. But don't by gold because people tell you you need to buy gold, try to only do those things that you understand before you get into it.

Bill O'Reilly vs. Amsterdam

A cesspool of corruption, Anarchy.

Not words your average traveler would associate with Amsterdam. But then again, Bill O'Reilly is quite a character and his show is a lot like a comedy routine, it just depends if you take him seriously or not.

In the rest of the world, evermore countries are discussing the legalizing of softdrugs (alcohol is ofcourse legal everywhere, even though it's harddrugs), because of the positive results that our little experiment in The Netherlands is having. In actual fact; it's working! O'Reilly felt threatened and decided to tackle the issue head on.

Here is a video by some student from Amsterdam who felt offended by O'Reillys comments so he made a video with some random statistics and such.

Here is the original footage of the O'Reilly broadcast. He just randomly makes claims about Amsterdam (it's a city, not a country, c'mon..). He just lies and then concludes (watch him use the word apparently, it's the base of his comment and also a LIE) to get a certain point across. It happens a lot in media, but O'Reilly is the master.

But is there something going on in Amsterdam ? Actually, there is. Especially since it was never legalized in The Netherlands. That's the problem, because this current situation supports organized crime. If it would be (completely)legal, you and I could grow it, and organized crime would not have a dominant position. It's also basic Chicago school economics which they teach me in school and which Bill O'Reilly I supposed to support being a conservative and all.. confusing, I know..

So here is my actual point; I don't believe Bill O'Reilly believes the stuff he says on his show. Honestly I don't.

Can't wait to study in America next year !

Rocket science

Man on the moon. I'm still amazed by it 40 years after. How did they do it ?

For the record; I believe the official story. Admittedly, I'm a big conspiracy follower but you can trust me on this one because I checked it out. The moon landings aren't THAT suspicious. Honestly, there are better conspiracies for you out there !! For proven conspiracies just go to tin-foil-hat under categories here on the right >> take a deep breath and be prepared to be astonished. Let me get back to the subject of spacetravel.

So I have always been fascinated with the universe and all. Too bad I suck at physics because the debate about the universe sparks the imagination. It's ever expanding and some scientists believe it's only a temporary thing. Makes you wonder huh ? What's it all about.

But we don't appreciate the moon landings anymore. How come ?
Put it in a more historic context. Thousands of years from now, hopefully we'll be floating from one planet to another in our own private spaceships. They will look back at the 20th century and see the moon landing as THE significant moment of the century. While now it does not have the appropriate meaning yet.

But you can see right? How important it will become. So actually, it already is that important. Get it ?

''In order to do good, you may have to engage in evil..''

Last week it was announced that Robert McNamara had died.

Wikipedia remembers him like this:
Robert Strange McNamara (June 9, 1916 – July 6, 2009) was an American business executive and the eighth Secretary of Defense. McNamara served as Defense Secretary for Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson from 1961 to 1968. Following that he served as President of the World Bank from 1968 until 1981. McNamara was responsible for the institution of systems analysis in public policy, which developed into the discipline known today as policy analysis.

But that's not what I remember him for. I remember him for his involvement in Operation Northwoods.

Operation Northwoods
Operation Northwoods was a plan that was never carried out but was only put to paper. It was not carried out thanks to one man; John Fitzgerald Kennedy. All of the joint chiefs of staff, including Robert McNamera, approved of this document.

Now this document is just a couple of pages thick. In the document there are lots of suggestions to carry out terrorist acts on innocent civilians to create a pretext in order to justify a confrontation with Cuba. It has been kept secret from the public for almost 40 years, but finally it turned up thanks to the J.F. Kennedy assassination review board. It shows the mind set of these people. It is the clearest example of government terrorism. To self inflect wounds in order to justify and push a political agenda. Terrorism. Americans killing Americans. Sounds ludacris right ?

I tried to upload it but it didn't work for some reason, but I have found a website that also uploaded the document, just go here. I suggest you read it. It is one of the most amazing things I have ever read.

Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara
(from the Errol Morris film, The Fog of War)

1. Empathize with your enemy
2. Rationality will not save us
3. There's something beyond one's self
4. Maximize efficiency
5. Proportionality should be a guideline in war
6. Get the data
7. Belief and seeing are often both wrong
8. Be prepared to reexamine your reasoning
9. In order to do good, you may have to engage in evil..
10. Never say never
11. You can't change human nature

What was Robert McNamara's involvement with the document ? He approved of it and passed it on to J.F.K. who was outraged. But that is not the point. The point is that there are people in government (not all of them you paranoid fuck) who do have these thoughts and that documents like these can be swept under the carpet when it's necessary.

People do conspire, it's human nature. You'd be naive to ignore that fact.

Family members said that McNamara died in his sleep at his home in Washington, D.C. early in the morning on July 6, 2009. He was 93. I imagine him going straight to hell.

The cat is out of the bag

It's cool when conspiracy theories are around for almost 40 years and then.. turn out to be true !

Someone send me an article by the newspaper The Independent (thanks anominous person).

In short: When the Americans were racing to get to the moon first, the Russians tried to put their own unmanned spacecraft on the moon in the same location. Just to mess with the Americans I presume.

The Americans knew about this and the Russians and Americans both knew each others flightpaths so they would not collide in outerspace.

In the end the Russian spacecraft (luna 15, checkout the picture) crashed and the Kremlin has been silent ever since about this subject.

Fortunately a British observatory followed the whole series of events and they now (why even bother after all these years?) released their audiotapes.

Coming up ..

..a bunch of articles ! Yes, from the sex pistols to Iranian politics to a blonde from the tv show The Hills! It's coming soon.

I'm glad to say that all my hard studying has paid off. It was a pretty intense period I must say(17exams in four weeks!?). So I deserved some days out and about with the boys.

Right now I'm feeling a bit shagged and fagged and fashed, -so I'm not going to post my articles today- it being a night of no small expenditure and all. Amsterdam's lovely town centre left me with something of a pain in the gulliver in the morning.

Guess I'm going to watch some Southpark episodes. This latest season of theirs is pretty awesome.

Jolie for president

Talk about hot news
Angelina Jolie reportedly wants to run for president of the US.

The actress is so “stirred” by her humanitarian work for the United Nations, she is reportedly planning to get into politics.

A friend told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: “Angelina has admitted she’s getting bored with Hollywood. She said she’s now got her sights set on Washington.

“She is passionate about people’s rights, war and justice and thinks she can get more hands-on and make even more of a difference by getting into politics. She admires President Barack Obama and thinks she could make a big difference too if she were in his position.”

Full on

This amazing girl, no wait. Woman!
This amazing woman came up to me and said; You mean Woody Allen don't you ? Yeah that's the one ! We just smiled at each other and before I realized that thankfully there are still very special women in the world, she was gone. I was looking for that name for ages with a friend of mine. I loved it how she just came outta nowhere and blew my mind (and that's all she blew).

Citylife
We shared a moment, shared a love for our passion. we both love the same director. Its a great thing to have in common and sharing it makes life in the city a little bit less lonely. I guess as you will probably already know.

I spent the rest of the day walking around like a zombie because I am hardly sleeping these days. Im studying full on, and instead of sleeping Im writing songs and poetry and stuff at night. Really cool actually that I'm finally getting round to all that. Haven't done this in years.

So I was at the shops today, fucking Michael Jackson was singing everywhere. I don't feel sad, I got the feeling that these last couple of years were like a ratrace to him.

Tonight I'm going to take my mind of things and go to a party where I presumably will get drunk. Just a little, tomorrow I have to study again.

First I have to get some sleep in before tonight, load the batteries for my camera. Then I have got to remember my flickr password because I made some great pictures lately. Eat, definitely shave, and produce 2 blurps for this blog when I get back. Perhaps I'll even write about my life altering experience that I had recently. Maybe not, don't want this blog to become to personal. Dunnoo

The probability of hyperinflation

Go here to see the video interview. For some reason when I embed it it fucks up my layout.

“In every society, when you have large fiscal deficits combined with easy monetary policies … the likelihood that you will have high inflation is very, very high,” Faber said. “And it happens very quickly.”

These numbers rise so speedily because the government “massively” understates the country’s rate of inflation, Faber said. To get a true reading, he said, people need to ditch core inflation numbers and include CPI in their analysis.

“It’s a lie what they publish,” said Faber. “If you underweigh education costs, and if you underweigh health care costs, then you come to a totally different result.”
note: Marc Faber points out that prior to the establishment of the Federal Reserve the United States experienced stable prices and a deflationary boom. When I get round to it, I will blog about why I think the federal reserve SHOULD be abolished.

Wink wink

So clarkson announced that the stig actually is Michael Schumacher. It certainly made for some great TV. However, the German race car driver is not Top Gear's Stig. And SOME of you nitwits believed that shit ! The stig is an above average driver. Michael Schumacher is an alien, you can't fool me clarkson, there is a difference !

Some say, he's Michael Schumacher. Others say it was a cruel joke by Clarkson. All we know; he's called the Stig !

The CIA's involvement in Iran. What's the story?

In an earlier post (I recommend you read it) I questioned the recent events in Iran. Whether or not the poll results predicting Ahmadinejad’s win are sound, there is, so far, no evidence beyond surmise that the election was stolen. However, there are credible reports that the CIA has been working for two years to destabilize the Iranian government (see documents below).

That puts today's news in a whole other limelight. When the story broke two years ago that the CIA started to destabilize the Iranian government, and Iranian life, I translated a couple of articles on the subject for a dutch website. So I sat and wondered these last couple of days if today's events in Iran were in any way connected or influenced by the CIA destabilization plan.

Someone thought the same and collected the original articles and news broadcasts and put them together in a youtubeclip. If you want to understand the recent events. See the stuff below and tell me what does this tell you ? Smells fishy to me

Bush Authorizes New Covert Action Against Iran: Bush Authorizes New Covert Action Against Iran The CIA has received secret presidential approval to mount a covert “black” operation to destabilize the Iranian government, current and former officials in the intelligence community tell the Blotter on ABCNews.com.

Bush sanctions ‘black ops’ against Iran: Mr Bush has signed an official document endorsing CIA plans for a propaganda and disinformation campaign intended to destabilize, and eventually topple, the theocratic rule of the mullahs.

INFOWARS comment:

The claim is made that Ahmadinejad stole the election, because the outcome was declared too soon after the polls closed for all the votes to have been counted. However, Mousavi declared his victory several hours before the polls closed. This is classic CIA destabilization designed to discredit a contrary outcome. It forces an early declaration of the vote. The longer the time interval between the preemptive declaration of victory and the release of the vote tally, the longer Mousavi has to create the impression that the authorities are using the time to fix the vote. It is amazing that people don’t see through this trick.

Waiting for a knobhead to turn up(sidedown)

Here is a cool selection of pictures which should be good for a chuckle. Some Asian photographer (can't be arsed to look up his name) thought it was a great idea to take advantage of the pouring rain and the big puddle of water that was covering up a big hole in the road. Take your time to appreciate the "accident".

Well meaning naive hippy calls for action !

I don't know whether to laugh or to cry. Check this article out and read my comment on it below.

Bloomberg, June 15th
Paul McCartney, the former Beatle and vegetarian pop star, asked fans to go meatless on Mondays to help slow global warming by reducing the amount of gaseous emissions from farm animals. Cows, pigs and sheep bred for human consumption discharge millions of tons of methane, a more potent greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. Livestock accounts for about 18 percent of greenhouse gases, more than all the world’s cars, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization has said. “If you want to fight climate change, it’s not only about electricity and coal-fired power plants: Agriculture is a huge contributor too and meat consumption is a big problem,” Jan van Aken, a biologist and agriculture campaigner for the Greenpeace environmental group, said today in a telephone interview from Hamburg. It’s “mainly burps” and animal flatulence, he said. Supported in his cause by celebrity chefs and Hollywood actors, McCartney said in a statement today that skipping meat a day a week is a “meaningful” change everyone can make to their lifestyles to help the environment. Less consumption may lead to fewer animals reared, and so emissions would fall.

It's me again. To bad McCartney doesn't know that last week yet ANOTHER NASA study has shown that climate change is hardly (the article says not) man (or animal) made and that it's mostly due to solar-activity. Well, duh! As you might recall, I earlier ranted on why you shouldn't blindly follow the "man made" hype.

Right reasons
I know Sir Paul means well but don't speak unless you know what you are talking about! Even if you are a Sir, and even if you were once part of a great band in history ! There are however very good reasons to cut down on eating meat! Not because it's sad for the animals (after all, animals eat animals too!). But from a scientific point of view it's just a horrible inefficient way to make use of the resources on our planet. And it's indirectly the cause for hunger in other parts of the world. And who wants that on their consciousness ? But you probably already knew that.

The most efficient would be to eat insects, but I don't think we are going to do that shortly. I am though! I'm thinking about studying in Asia for a couple of months ! Just to see what it's like on the other side of the globe !

Geek facts
While we are on the subject, d'you know that when you would eat nothing but blanched celery you would die of fatigue ?! It costs the human body more energy to digest the celery then it can take from it !

Got to go, talk to you all in a bit !

Thought of the day

"I want to tell you something, objectively looking at the world, you know what? you are the only people alive on the earth today. all the people that created tradition, created countries & created rules them fuckers are dead! why don't you start your own world while you got the chance"

Beavis & Butthead show how the economy works

Hacking democracy

Have you seen the news ? Well, Iran seems to be revolting over the outcome of their elections and as expected I am here to report on whatever I think is going on there. Well, wrong ! I will not analyze Iran today. You can pick up your own newspapers and do it yourself right ? Well you should, I do have a life besides this blog you know.

What I'd like to do is provide you with some background info. Over the years I have met several people from Iran. So here is a small history lesson if you will, to better understand Iran's current situation. Most of them cite the events portrayed in this video as the reason as to why Iran is so fucked up right now (Their words, not my mind you). To put current events into a historical context.

That's right. The CIA was responsible (operation ajax). If you go to their website you can also see that they are quite proud of that fact.

So you overthrow a guy who you don't like. Then you put in someone else who you dislike even more and then you complain and threaten to attack them. Woa ! Sounds like Iraq all over again !

The west still keeps buggin' Iran. Not only through official political channels like the UN. But also via "Black Ops". George Bush approved of several of these programmes against Iran. But we can only speculate as to its meaning as Black ops (wikipedia) are not disclosed in the name of national security..

Fraud ?
If it was that obvious than someone should be able to put out some evidence. Diverting even more about election fraud. Here is this HBO documentary exposing some of the non validaties in US elections over the years. Most of it seems to happen in the primaries. In that way only approved candidates from both parties (who are in bed together) are in the race for the presidency. Or do you remember the 2000 election ? Gore/Bush ? It's featured in this documentary. I'm sure glad in The Netherlands we got back to voting on paper again.

Are we the puppet people ?

Becoming a mythical figure

On this blog I write about politics (does that make me dull?) and art (does that make me gay ?). But there is a lot of other stuff going on in my life besides the stuff I put on my revolution blog. One thing I never shared on here is my love for racing.

It is my first love and it will be my last. And since it is my blog I suppose I can put up anything I want on here right ? Go ahead and leave, see if I care ! I will try to be brief..

So racing; what's so great about it ?

As a child I somehow got infected with a virus. It was racing. I was one year old and instead of putting me infront of the tv and letting me watch cartoons, my parents put me infront of the tv and let me watch the racing channel. Good stuff !

Now I am not going into my personal racing history (being supported in my early gokarting days by 7-up) because this post isn't really about me. But I must tell you that I am a formula one fan foremost. The rest doesn't really catch my attention. After all, I have a life to live you know ?

Reason for this article (yes there is one!)
But today I decided to cook myself a killer lunch and to enjoy it while watching the spanish motoGP race. Normally I never watch it.

The whole race Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo were fighting for the lead. It would come down to these last two laps; I have uploaded the video here as youtube keeps removing it because of copyright issues.

I have uploaded it anyway; not because I want to abuse the rightfull owners of the material, but because I want to use it as a promotion for the sport. I hope that it will contribute to more profits in the future for the parties involved.

Tightrope
I do want to say that the big misunderstanding about any kind of racing is that it is all about crashes and acting like you are a though guy. Actually, it isn't any of that. To be the best, you need to find a balance. Between being on the limit, and crashing and hurting yourself badly. It's a tightrope. Whoever does that the most constantly is the quickest and should win. That's just the driving, there is ofcourse a hudge technical aspect to it aswell. In this video both guys regularly go over the limit but magically stay on the road. I don't know if it is obvious for someone who never watches it but that is certainly what I am seeing here.

On the last lap he did something impossible. On the last corner he goes on a part of the track where nobody has been all weekend. It's the "dirty" side of the track. You generally fall of if you go there. Nobody expected it. And when I saw it happen infront of my own eyes I was certain that he would not have made it. But something in valentino rossi helped him around that corner. The last corner. He managed to pass Lorenzo and won the race. Goosebumps !!

At the end of Valentino's 99th victory he visibly was EXTREMELY happy. It was a memorable victory, one for the history books, one of his greatest victories ever.

The real champions are those who not only can surprise the world, but also themselves in terms of their capabilities. He is already a legend. He will certainly become a myth; i'm very sure of that.

Business school

Today I learned a lot. I attended two guest-lectures by two young CEO's who recently have received awards for they recent excellent results in business.
Both started from scratch not more than ten years ago and now turn over hundreds of millions of euros a year, and they will be doubling that in the next year (what crisis?).

Their stories were inspiring. Their achievements staggering. Their attitudes and words of wisdom were priceless. They both were truly remarkable people. Those who say that businesses are boring obviously have no idea what they are talking about.

Today I learned a lot.

PS: They both didn't go to business school. What does that tell you ?

Blues

1. Most Blues begin, "Woke up this morning..."

2. "I got a good woman" is a bad way to begin the Blues, unless you stick something nasty in the next line like, "I got a good woman, with the meanest face in town."

3. The Blues is simple. After you get the first line right, repeat it. Then find something that rhymes...sort of: "Got a good woman with the meanest face in town. Yes, I got a good woman with the meanest face in town. Got teeth like Margaret Thatcher, And she weighs 500 pounds."

4. Blues cars: Chevys, Fords, Cadillacs and broken-down trucks. Blues don't travel in Volvos, BMWs, or Sport Utility Vehicles. Most Blues transportation is a bus or a train. Jet aircraft and state-sponsored motor pools ain't even in the running. Walkin' plays a major part in the blues lifestyle. So does fixin' to die.

5. Blues can take place in New York City but not in Hawaii or any place in Belgium. Hard times in Paris or Rome is probably just clinical depression. Chicago, St. Louis, and Kansas City are still the best places to have the Blues. You cannot have the blues in any place that don't get rain. Amsterdam, Chicago, London, Tokyo: great places to have the blues.

6. You can't have no Blues in an office or a shopping mall. The lighting is wrong. Go outside to the parking lot or sit by the dumpster, you should be fine.

7.No one will believe it's the Blues if you wear a suit, 'less you happen to be an old person, and you slept in it for the last 6 months.

8.Do you have the right to sing the Blues?
Yes, if:
a. you're older than dirt
b. you're blind
c. you shot a man in Memphis

Not if:
a. you have all your teeth
b. you were once blind but can see
c. the man in Memphis lived

9.If you ask for water and your darlin' give you gasoline, it's the Blues. Other acceptable Blues beverages are: a. muddy water b. nasty black coffee

The following are NOT Blues beverages: a. Perrier b. Chardonnay c. Snapples d. Slim Fast

10.If death occurs in a cheap motel or a shotgun shack, it's a Blues death. Stabbed in the back by a jealous lover is another Blues way to die. So is the electric chair, substance abuse and dying lonely on a broken down cot. You can't have a Blues death if you die during a tennis match or while getting liposuction.

11.Some Blues names for women:
a. Sadie
b. Big Mama
c. Bessie
d. Fat River Dumpling

12.Some Blues names for men:
a. Joe
b. Willie
c. Little Willie
d. Big Willie

13.Persons with names like Michelle, Amber, Debbie, and Heather can't sing the Blues no matter how many men they shoot in Memphis.

14."Make your own Blues Name" Starter Kit !
a. name of physical infirmity (Blind, Cripple, Lame, etc.)
b. first name (see above) plus name of fruit (Lemon, Lime, Kiwi, etc.)
c. last name of a President (Jefferson, Johnson, Fillmore, etc.) For example: Blind Lime Jefferson, Pegleg Lemon Johnson or Cripple Kiwi Fillmore, etc. (Well, maybe not "Kiwi.")

15.I don't care how tragic your life: if you own even one computer, you cannot sing the blues. If you are reading this on a computer, maybe you cannot sing the Blues, but you sure can listen to it…

My favorite 30ies musician; Leadbelly ! (Kurt Cobain was a also a big fan of his and he covered a lot)

Weekend

Four politics related posts in a row, that can't be healthy.

So here is a video of a kid starting a hudge dance party by himself.

Have a nice weekend !

Politics

Don't worry, after very carefully considering all my options again this morning I changed my mind for the 3rd time this week and finally came to a decision about who to vote for. I made another decision aswell; I will definitely get involved in politics somehow (and I promise that it will not ruin my blog).

In case you didn't know, today Europe voted to select the people's representatives. Representatives who have very little to say, because our representatives sit in parliament. The decisions are made by the commission, and they are not chosen by the people (Yes that is correct, as it happens, I aced my European law course, suck on that).

There was only one party who repeatedly mentioned this "flaw" in the system so in the end I had to vote for them because I feel very strongly about this particular issue.

Where was I going with this rant again? Ohyeah, yesterday night I wrote some stuff down in my moleskine. Normally I shout heavily at the tv set when there is a debate on about politics after 5-10 minutes, but I was watching it in the middle of the night so I had to keep my voice down. Still, I had to get some of it out. So I got out my pencil and this is what came out.

Watching the debates
I am going to say this because it has to be said:

there are stupid people. I'll be more specific.
They are on the left of the paradigm and they are on the right

I'm not part of any of them. Me, I am Bipartisan.
But it's hard, because people are so stupid.
Talking about stupid people; stupid people believe they are right.

The "stupid lefties".
They are social ! They mean well, therefore they MUST be right ! Honestly, that's what it boils down to. I am talking only about the stupid people now. No one is more convinced then they are that they are right. Just because they care.
They are so right that they KNOW they don't have to listen to others.

The stupid people on the right are perhaps worse. They don't often mean well for others, they think they are the most important people on earth and that everything revolves around them. Again, I'm talking about the stupid people. It doesn't even matter, for other reasons they do the exact same thing; they stop listening to others.

That to me is a stupid person, one who doesn't listen, doesn't change his view on any subject once in every five years. The problem comes from picking your place in the paradigm. Am I left, am I right ? This divides us. It turns politics into a football match, where you invest/support/choose a team and you are going to have to stick by it. Why ? Because you became invested, you associated yourself with the team, you chose it, it becomes part of you. Now you are part of the party (have you read 1984 by Orwell?).

I don't want to be part of your little left and right game. Wisely I watch and listen from a distance, trying to make some sense of all the games and the tricks that are played on you by the (partly) corporate media. I'm looking at the issues, and looking at them in a historical perspective, not responding to the everyday shocktreatment that we receive.

Listening and looking at the issues; that's what it's all about.

The important question is; why are these stupid people always allowed to speak on behalf of their group on tv ? They just anger other people. Making them believe even more in whatever they chose to believe in.

Where are all these smart and inspiring people from the left AND right that I know ? Why aren't they on tv ? They don't fuel anger on a mass scale but on the upside they can talk about issues, and that's what we should want, right ?

I'm not sure if people want this. Politics is becoming like a statement, it identifies you and who you are, apparently, because people get offended when they discuss issues that don't even concern them.

It's simple, politics should be treated as a social science and not as a sport. When/if humanity realizes this we can finally get on with our evolution.
The evolution of ideas.
It's time people,
time to grow up, we are and can do so much better then this.

Well that's it for now, we can all go back to bed now and forget about Europe. We can fill in a stupid questionaire on a website in 5 years time and then the computer will suggest us what to do. That's called being involved these days, our ancestors would be appaled and frankly I am too. Got to go, talk to you all in a bit

What's a boy to do ?

It's not that I'm not involved, it's not that I want to protest just for the sake of protesting. I just don't feel represented. There is a difference.

For months I have been watching the debates and studying European and International law (last exam is tomorrow); I can't say that I like the current system, I can't say that I like the course it is taking. However, I can't vote blanco right ? I don't want to be a protester, I want to be a believer in a manifesto of some sorts.

“A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful implanted in the human soul.”
Johann Wolfgang Goethe

I love Goethe. He is just a chill, relaxed and inspired guy. I'm sure we would have been mates if we ever got the chance.

Just a simple guy. Not trying to hard to be what he was. An artist.

Arming the world and then sending troops over

So North Korea is showing us some attitude again. I stumbled upon an article with some cool stuff which reminded me of other stuff from the past.
GUESS WHO ARMED THOSE FUCKERS ?

According to a Swiss national newspaper (checkout their sources) Donald Rumsfeld was involved. Amidst the cacophony of condemnation from all sides following North Korea’s second nuclear bomb test, there has been no mention whatsoever of how the secretive Stalinist state got its weapons in the first place - they were paid for by the U.S. government.

Both the Clinton and Bush administrations played a key role in helping Kim Jong-Il develop North Korea’s nuclear prowess from the mid 1990’s onwards.

The hypocrisy being spewed forth from all sides in reaction to yesterday’s news that North Korea tested an underground nuclear device equivalent to 10 times the power of their first test in October 2006 is akin to when the U.S. cited Iraq’s possession of chemical and biological weapons as a reason to invade in 2003, having first checked the receipt of course, since it was Donald Rumsfeld who brokered the deal to supply Saddam with those weapons in the first place.

Rumsfeld was also the man who presided over a $200 million dollar contract to deliver equipment and services to build two light water reactor stations in North Korea in January 2000 when he was an executive director of ABB (Asea Brown Boveri). Wolfram Eberhardt, a spokesman for ABB confirmed that Rumsfeld was at nearly all the board meetings during his involvement with the company.

In April 2002, the Bush administration announced that it would release $95 million of American taxpayer’s dollars to begin construction of the ‘harmless’ light water reactors in North Korea. Bush argued that arming the megalomaniac dictator Kim Jong-Il with the potential to produce a hundred nukes a year was, “vital to the national security interests of the United States.” Bush released even more money in January 2003, as was reported by BloombergNews.

AGAIN so it seems. Because on this picture from the 80ies he is seen with Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. Selling him the shitty weapons and telling him that he could attack any nation he wanted to.
Donald Rumsfeld, what a character

Unfortunately the United States has a long history with supporting their enemies to fight other enemies. Don't ever forget they..
..Financed Russian Revolution
..Financed Hitler (short clip historychannel about that)
..Financed and trained the muhajehedin (which turned into Al-Qaida, that scruffy movie with tom hanks -Charlie Wilson's War- is about that)
..Armed Saddam Hussein (well known fact)

Here is obama's former advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski (he didn't want to but had to quit..) standing with, and training OSAMA BIN LADEN. In his biography he wrote: I'd do it all again.
hmm

im not gonna dig any deeper. But I must have mentioned it here before. There is shitloads of money to be made from war. Influential people can make it happen. Napoleon already found that out. So if we ever get world peace through world government or something. Just know that those (influential)people allowed that to happen, so it must be in THEIR interest. It's got nothing to do will you or me.

Here's the fairly famous Bill Hicks routine:
I'm so sick of arming the world and then sending troops over to destroy the fucking arms, you know what I mean? We keep arming these little countries, then we go and blow the shit out of them. We're like the bullies of the world, you know.

We're like Jack Palance in the movie Shane, throwing the pistol at the sheep herder's feet: "Pick it up."

"I don't wanna pick it up mister, you'll shoot me."
"Pick up the gun."
"Mister, I don't want no trouble, huh. I just came down town here to get some hard rock candy for my kids, some gingham for my wife. I don't even know what gingham is, but she goes through about 10 rolls a week of that stuff. I ain't looking for no trouble, mister."

"Pick up the gun."

Boom, boom.

"You all saw him. He had a gun."

Sheds a whole new light on Bob Dylan's "Masters of War". You can hear it here, as I wrote about that song earlier.
